how to get around hood release handle HELP!!!!!!
 

I have an 87 16v and i had a guy take out the kick panels in the front and replace them with custom fiberglass speaker pods, well I got sick of the pods and he told me i could pop in the original panels easily well WRONG I cannot get around the hood release handle for the driver side kick panel itwont go back in and i dont remeber how the heck he got it out!!! I dont know if i have to unscrew the hood release handle or how to do that or what im in a big ditch here and very nervous and need to get it back in ASAP please an comments or advice I would greatly appreciate thank you

P.S. i cant get a hold of the guy who did my stereo hes impossible!!!

I believe there is a round cap on the handle and there is a 8mm head bolt behind it. If you remove the bolt then the handle will come off so you can change your kickpanel.
