HELP! Sound System upgrade on 1991 300SL MB
i just bought this 1991 300SL MB and would like to upgrade the sound system....does anyone know what the size of the speakers are? i'm thinking of changing them with Bose....also, the car didn't come with the CD Changer....anyone have any idea what kind of changer i should get and would it cost a fortune to do it? any insight is greatly appreciated. thanks! zee

I have the OEM system on mine, and the package included the Bose rear sub setup with an Alpine 6-CD changer. So I suspect the Alpine connections should mate up nicely.
www.************************ has the rear compartment speaker setup available in OEM cloth colors to handle the rear fill and bass grunt.

Hey G, you mention the rear compartment speakers at performance products a couple of times, but a search of their site reveals no such product. Do you have a specific link to these speakers at their site? Maybe they have been discontinued.
I would love to get my hands on these for sure. Did they include the hatch doors with the woofers in them? Or are they a separate box with the right color carpeting?
