AM bad

Hi jeff-abalone,

Tuner problems are always tricky on repair because it can be many things that can cause a silent AM. First off, do you hear any sound from the AM (background noise)? There are no schools that teach you how to repair radios only. Only full Electronics courses that are available in a lot of areas and at varying costs. The common problems I have found with the Europa are capacitors and RF/IF transistors. Which ones would be too difficult to identify. Having it serviced would be simpler and more productive of your time. If you need me to do so then please contact me directly.

HI JEFF
i have a 1997 e320 and the am is not working. tried another unit and it works.

how did you fix yours. mine scans for stations but nothing( as though the aerial is not plugged in)

ALSO i find my volume control is erratic. sometimes you just click it 1 or 2 and it responds and other times you have to turn the dial a lot. disconnected the speed sensor for volume control but still the same.

THANKS
