300e CD Changer compatibility/recommendations
First a bit of history. I'm a new owner of a 1990 300e. I purchased it from the original owner and it has only 75K miles on it. I don't really wish to remove the OEM am/fm cassette though I would like to add a cd changer. Is there a specific brand/model that works better than others for this application? I don't care if it's a 6 or a 10-12 disc changer.
Thanks for any hints. |

The original becker 1480 does not support cd changer control.

Scott would certainly know more about these than I, but I believe some CD changers can broadcast their output to your existing FM receiver.
If you really must keep your OE unit, this may be the way to go. Crutchfield lists 13 models: Link to FM CD Changers Crutchfield rarely has the best price, but they do have a very informative site, top customer service, and they do include free custom install accessories (wiring harness adaptors, and such). If you want the best price on any specific model, try http://www.pricegrabber.com Best of luck.
