W126- infinity basslink in trunk- what/how to cut for port????
I ordered a Basslink, and will be installing it soon.. I have both a first aid kit area, and another cubby hole on the passenger side just like it.. On the passenger side, it looks like it's possible to remove the plastic insert that forms the cubby hole, but then what would I do with the lid???
I'm looking for some ideas to keep this as hidden as possible, or to dress it up, and make it look nice..I searched, but could not find a good answer.. Thanks in advance.. Jay

I ported thru the bottom of the passenger side cubby for my single reflex bandpass box (Jamo), just as you intend to do. Bass doesn't really need a clear "hole" thru the lid to be heard/felt, so I left my lid on , making sure it was well dampened with Dynamat generic (from McMaster-Carr) and the lid and plastic bottom well secured with some foam tape to eliminate rattles. There are much better audio systems than mine, but most folks think my econo solution sounds very good.
