how to connect ipod to my cd player - 300e

I have a Sony CDX-C7050X CD player on my '91 300E .... CD player has a detachable face plate ..... it can control CD/MD Changer (4v preout).

I have an Apple IPOD which I'd like to connect to this CD player .... any ideas on how to do that?

Thanks very much!

There are FM modulators that plug into the output of the iPod (or anything really) and you'll hear the sound on 88.1, 88.3, or something like that.

The new iTrip for iPod is a great wireless FM transmitter. Uses the firewire port for power and you choose which FM station frequency.

I think your only option is the transmitter, as the others have noted. If you get a decent enough transmitter, it'll sound good enough for the road.

Wireless FM transmitters really stink. I've used the iTrip as well as the iRock 300W and neither one was worth the trouble. Any time I would drive more than five miles I would have to change the frequency...it really was a hassle. I recently installed a wired FM modulator and it works perfectly! I'll be posting pictures tomorrow if you're interested.
