W124 Antenna Wiring HELP!!!!!
Hi guys
Here’s my question. The antenna doesn’t work properly on my 1990 300E. I know the antenna motor works because I connected it directly and it worked fine. The wiring was messed up when I got the car so now I am trying to fix it. Here are picts of the plug that goes to the radio, and of the plug on the actual motor housing. Can you tell me which wires connect where? PICT 1 PICT 2 If these picts dont help, I can take other ones. I just bascailly need to know where each color goes. Thanks a bunch |

Atlanta:
Don't want to loose you on your first post but don't have a solution for your wiring. If I were you I would take the car to a stereo install place and make buddies with an installer. Tell 'em your problem. If you pick a slow day, they might just help you out, then you can slip the guy a 10 spot for his trouble. |

Hmmm. anybody have an old antenna motor/housing around that can quickly pop it open and check? That would be wonderful.
BTW I really enjoy this site. I'm an active member on another non-car related (over 1000 posts) forum that uses the same software/format. Great stuff. Now if you'll excuse me, I've got a lot of "searching" to do. |

So nobody has any schematics eh? like of the 6 pin connector that goes to antenna? I am working on it right now......but I blew the fuse in the radio...heh. Gonna fix that and then see whats up. WHEN I figure it out, I will post clear detailed picts.
