Looking for old Antenna motor - for parts

Hi everyone,

I dismantled my Hirschmann Antenna motor and found that the gear on the electric motor was totally worn out. This gear drives a toothed belt which in turn drives the worm in a worm and wheel set-up.

I was wondering if somebody had an old antenna motor that he was willing to part with.

Thanks,

Amit

I have one from a 88 190e. It wasnt working so I took it out and just put in a stationary one. I think its still in the garage, i will have to check when I get home. Will this be compatible? I dont know whats wrong with it, it could have just been the wiring in the car.

I should be replacing mine within 2 weeks (waiting for replacement), early '85 190 E.
You didn't make your model clear to this " Newbie "- or were you just mentioning a universal brand name?
Forgive my confusion-would like to help if I can.

Amit. if you don't end up with a used unit to dismantle, Walter Odemer, Inc. sells individual gears and repair kits for Hirshmann anntennas. I have had good luck making a repair with his parts.

If you want to do the research to see if mine will fit it's yours. I'm still waiting for mine. I certainly don't need old one, and if shipping from Ct. is cheaper than buying parts-I'd be willing to box it up. ( I do have a broken mast if that is a factor)
Just trying to help,
-M
