89 560 SEC Becker 780

I pulled the Becker 780 from my 89' 560 SEC and messed with the wiring finally giving up and reinstalling it...now my dash and console lights don't work but there are no blown fuses although I did have to replace a couple while messing with it?!? Also I left the middle plug on the radio ( 4 brown wires and 1 green one) unplugged on the advice of a Becker radio tech....my radio works fine now just no lights?

The illumination wire is a gray blue in the power plug and if it has power on it when lts are on then you have a radio problem.

You didn't mention that before, there is a fuse for the illumination circuit in the back of the instrument cluster after the dimmer control.
