95 S420 stereo - two piece?
 

I'm curious to know what kind of stereo a 95 S420 with Bose Beta has. I'd like ot replace it with an MP3 head unit, but only if the rest of the system is somewhat ready for it.

Is there an antenna connection in the dash?

Will the hundred and one speakers take a 4 channel powered input? A 4 channel line level input?

Or is it that deal like my 91 300SE where there's a tuner in the trunk and amps behind the back seat?

I'm not an expert on this but this is what I've figured out, I think. The original head unit is a 4 x 20 watt unit that feeds an amp in the trunk. Yes, there is an antenna lead in the dash. Pretty simple to replace head units.
