MB Radio Removal Tools

Hi --

I have an embarassing question. I took the Comand out of the dash with the Benz Radio removal tools -- fine no problem -- but, how do I get those tools out of the Comand to put it back in the dash without those tools sticking out of it?

Prompt help would be greatly appreciated!

The Benz dealer seems to have turned off my satellite antena for my Comand navigation system. Apparently the antena is there and plugged in properly. Benz seems to have placed the antena under the Comand rather than over it as it was when installed but, even moving the plugged in antena to the top of the Comand did not get it to "see" the satellites it saw yesterday.
(Any help with this would also be appreciated -- but I emailed the Comand installer for help).

Benz did fix my driver's seat, however -- knock on wood. So far the seat has worked great for 6 hours.

Thanks

I have no idea if they are the same, but when the tools are used to remove the radio, they retract a couple of clips that hold the radio in the dash. The tools get "captured" so you can pull on them to remove the radio.
To get the tools out of the radio, once its out of the dash, just push the clips on the sides further in with your hands and the tools release.
Hope this helps.

KenP and all!

Thanks for your help. I got the radio removal tools out -- very easy.

Also, I figured out how Benz screwed up. They failed/forgot to plug the GPS antena into the Comand. No wonder it didn't work.

I took the Comand out; unplugged everything; pulled the center air vents and hunted around for the GPS antena. Finally, I found a loose black wire that pluged into the antena connector on the back of the Command; plugged everything else back in; reinstalled the Comand and, so far so good, everything seems to work fine.

Thanks Again! and Happy Fourth of July!!!!
