Question MP3 Players

Greetings all. I have a 02' C230 Sports Coupe. I have the factory CD changer installed. Does anyone know if there is an attachment or customization that will allow me to use an MP3 player like this one (the 60GB capacity of course):

I know there are tape adaptors, but I'm looking for an "all digital" method. Any replies would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the heads up. I ran a search and got the following results:

I want to play more MP3s ... Scott! Help!

An old post and a bit different from what I want, but along the same lines. I basically need a cross between a computer geek and an MB audio/mechanical genius to help. I just wanna hook up a Nomad Zen MP3 player (link in the original post) without destroying my car. Mounts for the player are fine by me with the wires being hidden, as long as they are safe, stable and not cheesey looking. There should be some way to make all that happen.

60 gigabytes of MP3's? Are you serious? At 128kbs, that's about 240 hours of music; give or take a few hours. I don't think I spend that much time in a car in a year. At 8 hours per day, thats a whole month. On the road much dewd? And you surely wouldn't want to drive off the road while navigating the menu. I have all the music ( MP3's ) that I really like on just a handfull of 800Mb CD's. To that end I installed a Blaupunkt MP3000 player/ radio in place of the orignal Becker cassette in my car. For the amount of driving that I do, it will play one CD for weeks before repeating. It also has a nice random play mode. Anyhow, what I was getting at is that buying an inexpensive unit that plays MP3 CD's is a very practicle solution / alternative to one of those very expensive ultra large hard drive units. Also, there are some interesting auto DVD players coming to market which will play MP3's from a DVD disc. Choose wisely. Good luck. Tod
Resistance is Futile.

Like many others, I'm sick of what they're playing on the radio these days. I installed a PC in my truck three years ago, now transplanted into my Benz. It houses 60GB & 80GB drives, with 980+ CDs at the touch of a button and plenty of room for more CDs. Random play is nice. I was going to give the Nomad a try but a PC gives you much more options. For more help with your changer cabling you could come over to and ask around. I believe a few guys there have done what you hope to do already.
