dvd as cd player.

my current cd player has given up on me, (clarion autopc 310c) great cdplayer, but lasted me about 2 month. it was good when it worked. but the heat got to it i suppose, or it has its own issues. for anyone who is considering getting these since they are pretty cheap now ($250 for a factory refurbished $1500 cd player/Pc) don't.

so anyways i am looking to get a dvd player since i never use the radio anyways. i am looking into those blaupunkt in dash dvd player that go for about $120 on ebay. how are the sq produced from those things? i know i need an equalizer and a amp for the speakers (and a screen). does this sound like a good idea to use it as a cd player? i'd get another cd pplayer, but for a couple hundred more i get dvd in my car so i was just thinking.

Unless you have or going to add a monitor to watch DVD, otherwise, it's a waste of money.
