"No CD Changer" Error
Howdy Benz Brothers!
I've had a 2000 C230 Kompressor along with the Becker Fiber Optic CD Changerfor a few years now and I've just started having problems. I get a "No CD Changer" error message after I've been driving anywhere from 10 to 60 minutes. I would be cruising and then click "No CD Changer". Restarting the car seems to enable me to use the CHanger again, but it'll happen again. Anybody experience or heard of this problem? PS. the hotter the weather, the shorter it seems when the CD Changer quits. Thanks for looking! |

I've seen it quite a bit.
Could be the changer itself. BUT if it weren't installed at the dealership OR the dealership didn't do a good job, it MAY be that the radio wasn't programmed by the DAS aks "Star" computer to reflect the addition of the changer. But because it seems to be a bigger problem in hot weather, probably it needs a new changer. "Got Warranty?" Gilly |
