'91 300e - Antenna to Aftermarket CD Receiver

I recently installed an aftermarket CD receiver in my '91 300e, bypassed the fader etc. I have wired power to the antenna so it goes up when the receiver is powered on.

Can someone tell me how to wire the antenna to the new receiver so I can get a radio signal? I was told I would have to go from the amplifier (I don't know where that is - trunk somewhere?) to the receiver, is this true? Do I need any adapters?

Thanks!!

You need to get a standard antenna extension cable @ 12 ft + long and the radio tuner is in the trunk on the right side (pic)
