Stereo keeps turning itself on! Please help.

I have a V-reg S20L, with the Audio 10 system, which is great, excpet for the fact that it keeps on turning itself on, even when the car is swiched off and locked. I would like to rectify this, but neither the car nor radio manual mention this.

I am constantly checking the car to see if the stereo is on, and am always having to switch it off. I'm probably going come to a dead battery one day!

Can anyone help?

Thanks.

Regards,
Bob

Have the same problem in my 2002 E320, finally had to pull the fuse. I'm taking back to dealer in next few weeks.

Do you guys remember the TV show "My Mother, The Car"? The car owner's dearly departed mother spoke to Jerry Van Dyke thru the radio. Gremlins, me thinks, of the electronic kind.

Finally set up appointment for next week. Will post after visit. PS- Bought the car used and it appears to already have a second factory replacement radio installed. The problem appears on the service printout.
