93 300ce cabriolet becker/silverstone-sony
I have a 93 300ce cabriolet with a becker 1432 head (I think!) when I took the panels out of the truck (passenger side)I found a small black box with "Becker" on it and I assume this is the amp. This box is to the rear and behind the hydrolics for the top.
I also found a cable still wrapped from the factory with a 25 pin female connector which I assume is the cd connector. Trouble is I bought a silverstone be0980 cd changer that, I was told, would fit a 93 300ce but the cables that came with the cd all have round connectors. I'm probably missing the obvious! Can anyone help? |

First the 25 pin connector is for the cell phone. The round connectors are correct. You got two cables one has a female connector on it, you unplug the one male round din connector on the tuner module (rt side in the trunk) and plug it into the female connector then plug the othe cable that you got into the hole which you unplugged the other one from (in the tuner module) Then you have the two cables ready to plug inthe the silverstone 980. The power / 4 pin cable on the tuner module gets unplugged and plugs into the like female jumper and the other side plugs back into the tuner power port. If it is a black box that would be the amplifier and the tuner box is silver and also is a 1432 model # on it.

Scott,
Thanks a million!!! ( or at least a few hundred!). I've never seen a changer mounted in a cabriolet. Can you tell me where the factory/dealer mounted it? I think the changers were mounted in the passenger side truck well in the sedens but the cab doesn't have a well because of the top machanics. |
