I bought a 1997 Mercedes E420 from auction (AS IS). When I turned on the radio it states CODE, I don't have the code, what should I do to activate the radio.

Call your local mercedes dealer with the VIN number. They should provide you with the code and the instructions to put that in. Sometimes they require you to come in and show the registration to make sure you're the legitimate owner of the vehicle.

Did you get the owners portfolio with the car? Usually in there you'll find a credit card sized card with the code and radio serial number on it.
