My radio stops during driving..

Hi..

My Audio in 94 S320 has problem..
From last week, my CD/Radio stops intermittently during driving..especially at bumpy road.. And, I heard no sound but "crackling and poping" noises from the speakers..(*head unit stays on..)
When the car stops, radio is working again..
Even Car is stopped, I jumpped on seat, then same thing happened again...
Please help me.. Where should I examine?

Thanks

Hi Kwatro.

Sounds like a skipping CD to me.

Check to make sure the Head Unit is securely mounted
if it came loose you would get the skipping.

Is it the original HU or is it an aftermarket one?

Louis.

Hi Louis

I have original head unit.. I have not changed it.
It looks secure from outside..
Do I need to pull out and check it?

Kwatro.

Well if it is secure then there is an internal
problem and will need fixing/replacing.

Or it just could be as simple as a loose
wire in the back of the unit.

Good time to upgrade.

Louis.
