need some pointers
Hi,
I just bought a 94 E320; everything is fine except for the lack of a cd-player. After some search I found that it is the model like this http://www.beckerautosound.com/om1692.pdf. I was wondering would an Alpine CDA-7897 fit and would removing this original radio mess up the car's security system? If it doesn't fit what other head units that do would you recommend? TIA

you have the new type receivers with the iso plug... you need an adaptor to hookup an aftermarket receiver to the factrory wiring, and an antenna adaptor (european to motorolla)... I don't recomment cutting the factory harness, it get's really messy that way...
I had the same type radio in my c280, unplugging the alarm trigger won't cause any problems except it will deprive you of the protection... try to somehow hookup the alarm wire to the chassis of the new radio....
