Switch Becker Grand Prix for Europa Radio
Hi,
I just posted about the becker europa backlight, but I have been consideroing another option. I really like the becker grand prix radios, particularly the newer ones, like model 1432, which have a gray stripe and say Mercedes-Benz on the cassette flap. Looking on Ebay, the backsides of these radios look different. There is no round antenna plug, and there are a few pinned connections (I think one has 4 pins and one has 5 pins) My europa has two or three spade connectors then the round antenna plug and speaker attachments. Is it possible to somehow wire in a grand prix radio when my car came with a europa? What is involved in doing that? What about if I went with an older grand prix, like those that came in the w123 cars as an optional step-up from the standard europa radios like mine? Thanks, JMH
