TIP to repair loose radio buttons

My radio had loose butons due from wear, they didn't fall off, they just kind of hung there. I could not buy replacement ones and the radio was $930, I just had to figure something out because I love that weatherband.

First remove the button from the radio by just pulling it out, then you take some blue RTV silicone and use a toothpick to apply it on the inside of the button on the interior edges. This will fix the loose buttons! They are nice and firm and the silicone is just pliable enough to allow for button operation.

I hope this helps others!
Regards,
brian
