Radio Operation
I have a 1986 560SL that I purchased this past November. I was sitting in it setting the presets on the radio when I turned the key off and noticed the radio was still playing. I drove the car to church yesterday morning without the radio on and when I got home with the engine off and key out of the ignition turned the radio on and it plays just as if the ignition was on. Is this normal? I can't seem to find anything about it in the manual.

I think the radio will play for up to an hour with the key off, then it will shut itself off.

Thanks for the reply dakota. These cars sure do seem to have been ahead of their time in a lot of the things about them. New cars of today just started doing the accessory thing after the ignition is turned off.
