Need Code For 1986 Becker Antitheft Gran Prix

Hello, newbie here. I have a 1976 450Sl with a Becker Gran Prix anit-theft am-fm cassette. I let the battery go dead and and I locked up the radio when I put an undersized battery in the car.

I know there is a code to enter thru the statiions keys, I just don't remember what it is, and what if any other buttons to press while entering.

If any anyone can help great, if not does anyone know the tel # for Becker, I gave them a call 18 years ago but never kept the #(opps).

Thank You
JOB

There is no code, the unit needs to be reset at the dealer with their reset tool. Be aware the internal lithium 5 year battery might be dead and if so it will need to be replaced otherwise it will lock up everytime you turn the key off.

I have some of the same issues, and wounder if the radio was part of the reason the battery went dead.
What are the general opinions of the Becker Grand Prix? Was it a Great system 15 years ago, and now worth spending some $ on or Is it just as well to find another radio?
Not looking for the loudest or most expensive solution, just one that works well, and does not need to be reset by the dealer after each winter storage.
