HELP!! Lighting source for antenna and deforst switches

I have a 1989 190. I was replacing the antenna switch when I pulled the switch too far and disconnected the fiber cable (I think that whats its called). The piece that I'm talking about is white and fan shaped. It has three wires coming out of it (1 goes to the defrost and 2 go to the antenna). This white piece must plug into something that has a lighting source that lights the switches. (I can't find this source). Is the source behind the instrument cluster? I took out the center console where the A/C unit resides, but couldn't find it. PLEASE HELP!!
