Has anyone here used an aftermarket Antenna Mast and if so were you happy with it and where did you get it?

I replaced the mast on my Hirschmann with an aftermarket from EBay. It's about 3 inches too short, so the final bit of extension is accompanied by an occasional grinding sound as the teeth slip on the gear. If you can, remove the old one and measure, then ask the supplier to do the same to be certain.

Snapped the old one off my 93 500SEL in the carwash like a dang idiot! Runs about $75.00 and it can be a pain to install if the old plastic "rip cord" is left behind in the motor, but overall not too big a job. When you're in doubt about the proper part, go to Phil!
