Upgrading audio system on a W140
 

I would like to know if any of you audio experts have an idea of how difficult it would be to switch my standard head unit on my 1998 S500L for one of those new all-in-one DVD/CD/radio with foldable flat screen?

Could I still use the original amplifiers and what features do I have to look for in the new unit to make the switch less complicated?

Any of the single din units will work fine the only considerations are the size of the sub chassis (tuner/amp module) the smaller the better so it can fit up front under the pass side floor carpet panel otherwise it will have to go in the trunk. The other is it will need to have an internal amp to be able to connect to the stock amplifier as it takes a high level input.
