Basics, please.
I have 3 cars; MB 300te, 2 Volvos. I would love to bring the paint to a beautiful shine. One of the Volvos (dark Blue) is a 2001, so it has not seen too much expose, but the MB is 1989 (Charcoal gray) and the other Volvo is 1995 (Black)
I have a Porter Cable RO "sander" that I believe is the same as their buffer, just a different pad (obviously). What do I need to get this process going? Give me some details: ie: Clay (name), wax (name)...what pads to get. I think I will go with Meguires after all I have read here. PLUS...will the finish that I get give me protection? On the wife's black Volvo, if a bird craps on it and it is not immediatly rinsed...it burns into the clearcoat. What "wax" will give me the protection I need. None of these cars are garaged/ Northeast (New York) exposure. |

Just some suggestions:
Clay - Clay Magic (Blue) Wax - Meguiars NXT or for additional protection Meguiar's Polmer Sealant (#20) #20 should last for 6 months under normal condition. In your case you might want to do it every 4 months. |
