Thumbs up going all the way

Well I started to strip down my 87 300D. The car was hit in the front when I bought it. I repaired it and got it back on the road and we were both impressed enough that we decided to sell our Jetta and keep the Benz. So now it is time for the paint job. Since I am keeping it I want a nice job done. I've stripped all of the doors except for the shell and the glass, all of the mouldings, trim, lights name plates, door sills, you name it, if it comes off it's off. I even removed the assembly that holds the door open so that they can be serviced. I'm changing from a light blue to a dark blue pearl. While the car is in the paint shop I can clean and service the fifty million parts laying in my shop. I also removed the dash so that I could replace the Vacuum elements that were bad. To say the least, its been an interesting week.
