hoover steam vacuum v2

I am thinking about getting one of the Hoover Steamvac V2 models to clean my house carpeting and hopefully the mats and carpet in my car.

They are kind of expensive and I would hate to buy one and find that it cannot do the job.

Anyone here have one and if so, does it do the job?

Thumbs up

Yeah, I have a Bissel Pro Heat Steam cleaner. It works very well in the house and the attachments works well in the car. I just put my mats in the concret driveway and steam clean them like I do inside the house. It does a great job.

Steam Cleaner

Bissell sells their "Big Green Clean Machine". It's a canister steam cleaner that works great on your home carpeting as well as your car carpet and cloth seats if so equipped. Go to Bissell.com....about 150 bones and worth every penny. I detail cars and have used this thing on over 100 cars with no problems. Detergent can be purchased at WalMarts.

I have an old (12+years) Bissell carpet cleaner. Still works great and is really handy to have when you want to clean carpet in a whole room, or your car.

I have the hoover upright and the green machine. Best bang for your buck IMO is a good shop vac and a small garden sprayer. or even better, Sears sells a carpet/upholstery cleaning kit that turns your shop vac into a carpet cleaner The small upholstery tool works great in the car.
