i am ready to detail the inside of my 190E
one of my major problems that is holding me up is that the viynal trim next to the bottom of the window is coming up any advice on fixing this problem is appriciated Bob |

By the time the trim is coming up it is more of a repair vs detailing issue. Benzmac or MB DOC should be able to help out in Tech Help. Detailing is based on the idea of keeping the original quality looking as good as possible. Once things are torn through or the adhesive has completely let go it gets into the realm of replace/repair.
It is hard to say without seeing your car in person but perhaps things can be re-glued. 3M adhesive should keep things well pasted if that is all that is needed. Clean the areas/surfaces being glued, apply adhesive, then press in place. Would also be helpful if you had something to hold the freshly glued trim in place until the adhesive set-up. C-clamp, masking tape, even a weight to place on a horizontal surface.... Hope this helps...Lee |
