I recently had occasion to accidentally splatter some battery acid on the side of my wife's '95 E class (brilliant silver). There are about 14 small marks ranging from a pea size to smaller. They are located on the passenger doors near the middle of the car just below the door handles but above the chrome strip. I washed the area with baking soda and water. Door the doors need to be repainted or will it be possible to touch up the spots. If touch up is possible any advice would be much appreciated.

If you have burnt through the paint you will either have to touchup or re-paint. Depends on how big a spot, depends on your tolerance for looking at the touched-up area. If you have not burned through completely you can have it airbrushed. Your local dealer, independent, etc should know a professional or offer it in-house.
Good Luck...Lee |
