After my own efforts/projects and watching Bill Wood re-shining the intake of his E430 here is a tidbit for Flitz use.

If you are going after some well set in stains/oxidation/etc apply Flitz and buff off in a "quick once over" fashion. Then apply a thick coat of Flitz and go make a sandwich, get a beer, whatever. Come back and add a touch of new Flitz then begin removing/buffing off. This should really shine up the metal and save you much elbow grease.
