Hello -

What's the best protectant for dashboard tops ? Vinyl X ? I've read somewhere not to use Armorall
I own a 81 300SD and somehow the dash top/cover has survived sun damage and has no cracks. Would like to keep it that way.

Thanks.

You are correct on both accounts. Skip the Armor All. Just spray Vinylex on a cloth (to avoid spray marks on the windshield) and wipe down the dash and any other plastic, vinyl, MBTEX, etc surfaces. Leave it on for the shiny look, buff with a dry cloth for a patina.

Enjoy...Lee
