I have read many posts here related to how to polish chrome. My question is how to protect the chrome from deterioration? For painted sufraces we have sealants, waxes etc. What is the best for chrome?

I have always just used a metal polish (like Flitz or Meguiar's) on the chrome. Regular polishing has never left me disappointed. I suppose you could try a coat of #26 on the chrome just for grins.

Hope this helps...Lee
