how much should I expect to pay to have the bottom half of my 1990 300E painted to match the top half? I've seen mid 90's SLs and S classes done this way and it makes them look much more modern (only in black). I know some purists may disagree with it, but I'm just wondering how much it would cost...Thanks in advance for any help

Hard to say...you should probably talk with local MBCA members, a few dealerships, and a couple independents for a bodyshop recommendation. If you keep hearing one place mentioned over and over again I'd go there. Getting someone to do the job right is worth it as any bad paintwork really looks bad on a car of that quality. If pricepoint is your all, then just call a bunch of local bodyshops and go with the low-bidder.
Hope this helps...Lee |
