The center consol and plastic facia on my 77 350slc needs a complete cleaning and refurbishing as it has become discoloured and ingrained with dirt from age. What do you recommend me to use. Products like Meguiar's and 3m are impossible to get here so, please give me options on something else.

You can always mail order Meguiar's products. If you check out the Meguiar's site they will not only recommend which products to use, but where the closest dealers are and/or give mail-order options. A click on the Meguiar's banner/visit to their site is a good first step in finding a source for the correct products.

Failing that, you could try a non-abrasive degreaser/cleaner like "Goop" hand cleaner. That should be available in a hardware store or household cleaner section of your grocery store. Where do you live? Someone may be able to chime in with a good outlet for detailing products nearby. Oh, one last thing, have you tried calling several body-shops in your area? Frequently they are either Meguiar's or 3M retailers. (they just never advertise) Those same bodyshops, even if they do not retail, may be able to help you get the products you need. If you still can't find anything let us know and we'll take it from there.
