Hi all! I have a 300SD Turbodisel, but don't really like the "Turbodisel" badge on the left side of the trunk. Does anybody know how to safely remove it without damaging the paint underneath? Do I need any special tools? Thanks a lot!

Most of the newer cars use adhesive for the badges. I'm not sure if your turbodiesel badge is adhesive or a mechanical attachment. Perhaps this is a question better asked of the techs in Tech Help. I'm sure they are quite familiar with badge removal and whatnot. Sorry I can't be of more assistance on this one.
Hope this helps...Lee |

I have always hated having a "billboard" on my tail and remove all the lettering. I use a strong fishing line to slide under the lettering to pull off the badge part. Sometimes all or most of the adhesive goes with it. For the remaining adhesive, I use Mequires cleaner. The results are always worth it. Look carefully first to make sure you have a vehicle that the badges are not rivited. The older the car, the more scrubbing of adhesive. Be patience on the initial lifting, prying or forcefulness will dimple the metal.
