I have an 85' 124 and my handles do not have the chrome trimmings on them. Anyone know what material I can use to attach to my existing handles so they would look like a 93'?
It's so much expensive to buy the whole OUTFIR KEY. Thanks! |

francis,
Of course the most obvious fix is to swap to new door handles. If your old ones are really faded it may not be a bad idea anyhow. If that does not fit your budget then you may want to take a look through the pages of the "Star" magazine. There should be some aftermarket kits and whatnot in there that might be closer to what you are looking for. Beyond that, you could try to rig something but I don't know of anything that will look really factory, nor hold up the same way. Hope this helps...Lee PS If you submit a parts inquiry we will check to see if we can readily get them and how much the new 93+ door handles would be. |

Hey thanks there! I'll submit an inquiry. Does STAR have a webpage? I'm all the way in the Philippines
One more thing, think you could also check on the side door trimmings (plastic on the lower half of the doors + fenders w/ chrome inserts on top). What do you call this? I think this wold be around 8 pcs. Thanks again! Francis |
