I don't know which products to use. I have been in favor of Meguiar's over Mothers, but looking at the shelves at the local auto parts store I don't know what to get. Just by looking the Mothers is about a dollar more expensive on all their products. I know that both companies but out high quality merdhandise.
If I were to change from Meguiar's to Mothers I would only like to use their products (such as not mixing the waxes). Is it alright to cross brands? Can anyone tell me if there is a clear diffrence between the two, and what you suguest to use. Thank you very much. ------------------ 1999 ML320 1995 E320 1994 E420 lowered 1.5 in 1980 300D |

In almost all cases I like the Meguiar's stuff better. One instance where I don't like the Meguiar's stuff better is their detailing clay. Too soft, tends to rub off on the car no matter how much spray lube you have on there. You may want to go the Mother's route there. For the rest of the exterior stuff, you can't go wrong with Meguiar's. Opinions get a bit more divided when it comes to leather, MB TEX, plastic, etc but for most things exterior/paint related Meguiar's is tough to beat. Give both a try and let us know which works best for you.
Hope this helps....Lee |
