Here is a question that may have been asked in the past. I just got a 1990 300CE and everything from the exterior paint to the interior is all original. Though the previous owner installed a cell phone and mounted it to the side of the center console (doh!!) Anyway, I have since removed the phone and now left with 4 very small holes. What can be done to repair this, or would I be better off leaving it alone. Its not really all that bad looking, but it would be nice not to see that holes.

Thanks in advance!
-Kevin

Where exactly was the phone mounted? I've seen a phone mounted on the side of the center console on the carpeted area. If that is the case you can fuzz up the carpet in those specific spots and it should disappear for all practical purposes. If it is in the vinyl then it will be a case for either patching or learning to live with it. Failing either of those you could try picking up a used piece (if you could find one).

Hope this helps...Lee

PS if you want to look into a replacement piece turn in a PartsShop inquiry and we'll see if we have anything for you.

Kevin,
The previous owner of my 1986 300E did the same thing, leaving four gaping holes on the side of the console. I've been thinking about going the vinyl repair route- let me know if you have success with it.
