Has anyone used the Meguiar's #26 yellow wax? if so pro's and con's? and how does it compare to the normal wax used in the 3 step-wax system?

I've used #26 wax for years. #26 and Meguiar's Gold Class liquid are my favorite for the car's panels. Blitz and Wax Shop Wax do nicely on the wheels. The #26 has no cleaners in it so you have to have done the #7 to a T on whatever you are using the #26 on but the results are quite impressive. #26 will also not leave any white residue on rubber/trim/etc. The Gold Class wax looks better when the polish job is marginal, the paint isn't as perfect, etc. (Gold Class also seems to work better on darker or metallic colored paints) The Gold Class does seem to last longer than the #26 though it will leave a white residue on rubber and trim.

Hope this helps...Lee

Lee pretty much nailed it on the Meguiar's! Myself included I've used number 26 for many many years! As Lee said it's non abrasive and formulated with Carnuba (from Bannana trees in the Amazon or something like that..ha ha!). Since I have a Pearl Black 89 190 E 2.6 number 26 is great as the final touch after glaze. As Lee was saying Gold seems to last slightly longer on darker cars, such as mine. I tried some this morning. Either one is a total win/win for your car!
