I received writing all over my windows with white shoepolish. I have removed the majority, but some of it is just sooooo stubborn. Any tricks of the trade?

Did ya get married? If so...congrats! When I got married, my brother wrote on my car's windows with Elmer's Glue! After 2 weeks on holiday, those scribblings were resilient to say the least!

Sorry, just had to tell the Forum what an A#$%@&*E my brother was that day...your solution is a new razor blade and LOTS of Windex

I know it sounds strange, but Bon-Ami in the square can is reportedly exceptionally good for cleaning windows.

Start with Windex. Everytime I've gone to the track the white shoe-polish they used came right off with some Windex.

Failing that...hit it with something like 409/Simple Green. Then do Windex.

If that doesn't get it all try some Bon Ami but be careful to keep it off the paint. Between those three methods you should be able to get rid of the polish.

Hope this helps...Lee

Brasso works wonders on windows too. After using this you may need the windex to remove the Brasso residue. This will not scratch the glass at all. Good luck.

Isopropyl alcohol will do the job real quickly.(AKA rubbing alcohol).
