I recently bought a 93 500SEL, black. It's got some paint chips on the hood and deck lid, which of course show up as white dots. I'm wondering if there is such a thing as black wax that might help or if anyone has any other ideas please post. Thanks.

Search the shop forum for references to "paint touchup", "stonechips", etc. The fix for stonechips has been covered in depth before. Let me know if you have any questions or can't find exactly what you are looking for.
As far as "black wax", none that I know of. If it has enough black in it to cover a stonechip it will probably dull the shine on the rest of the finish. Just do the paint touch-up right and wax as normal. Hope this helps....Lee |
