My car is throughly detailed on the exterior and interior with the finest products and it looks great but......under the hood, I'm not so sure what I would use to dress the hoses, plastic pieces, exhaust header (some kind of paint or ??) because of the heat in the engine bay, can "normal" products be used in the car like Lexol Vinyl protectant?? Thanks in advance guys (or girls)??

I use Lexol Vinylex but I suppose Meguiar's Endurance tire protectant would work well, too.
