My car is in the body shop at the moment, getting a Ford Escort extracted from the right front corner. Before this is over, someone will be painting the hood, bumper cover and right fender with grey pearl metallic clearcoat. How closely can I expect the new paint to match the old? Should I negotiate a complete paint job? Please advise me.

Look deeply into the finish at the orange peel once everything's done. Look at the reflections...you should be able to see the same amount of detail in the factory and paintshop panels. Also make sure the bodyshop goes over the car to minimize the spray lines.

Hope this helps...Lee
