I've seen this product at my local parts store, and everyone here praises 3M products. What is this "imperial glaze"? Is it a polish? a wax? if any, how do i apply it to my car?....by hand, orbital buffer?..

There are 2 flavors of "Imperial Glaze". One is made for hand application and the other is designed for machine. The hand version is most likely what you will see in stores. The machine product is made for professionals. It is a polish...not a wax.
Here's some info from the 3M website: 3M Imperial Hand Glaze is a non-silicone, non-wax hand glaze. It is used by hand to refine and fill swirl marks after machine glazing. This product has been formulated to work on all colors and can be painted over. 3M Imperial Machine Glaze is a non-silicone, non-wax machine glaze. Possesses excellant scratch removal characteristics. Using 3M Imperial Machine Glaze results in superior depth of shine and luster. Use by machine to remove swirl marks after compounding acrylic lacquer. ------------------ Bill Wood - Webmaster MercedesShop.com, LLC |
