Hi, I have used Zymol Detail with good results. Probably any carnuba or pure wax (no cleaner wax) will work for you. Zymol Detail is formulated for the "flexible" parts of your car, and use on wood is one of their suggestions.

Try Meguiar's plastic polish.

I recently had the console wood refinished by Madera Concepts, who advertise in The Star MBCA magazine. BIG MISTAKE...it came back a completely different color and they sanded so deep it shows the rib marks from the frame underneath. I'll now have to buy a new piece.

I should have been satisfied with the moderate improvement I got from using plastic polish

How much would a new complete wood center console cost for a 300E by the way? My wood is in excellent condition, except for that its faded. Also, is it possible to change the wood to the dark burlwood, instead of the stock Zebrano style?

Submit a PartsShop inquiry and we'll look into it. I'm fairly certain we do not stock those items but we can probably special order them for less than list.

Lee

PS we will need your VIN when submitting...

FYI on the Zebrano wood...
The wood around the shifter and window controls lists for $169 at the dealer...a little more if you have seat heaters.

The wood around the A/C controls lists for $212..a little more if you have the rear window shade.

Lee might be able to find a better deal for you from one of our new parts sources or a salvage yard. You'll have to submit a Parts Information Request in PartsShop.
