The factory wheels on my 87 300TD wagon are discolored from brake dust and I am concerned that perhaps the clearcoat finish has been damaged. I have tried mild cleaners and Eagle One wheel cleaner without much success.
Does anyone have a good cure for this, or am I faced with refinishing the wheels? Thanks in advance for any help. John

More than like likely you are facing a repaint but, you might try this first.
Remember, the painted surface of your wheels is really no different than the painted surface of the rest of your car. Try some Meguiar's Show car Glaze and then Hi Tech Wax. ------------------ Bill Wood - Webmaster MercedesShop.com, LLC MB Autowerks Inc
