What types of places....
....can I go to to repair wood trim?
I've got a couple of wood pieces which are not just cracked, but chipped/gouged, and the wood underneath the veneer has been exposed. Probably about 4 square inches of damage. What types of places can repair this? Would it be easier to just do it myself with some sort of filler, veneer and sealant. BTW - I've priced new wood trim, and it's much more than I'd like to spend on these items (~$325+) |
I am currently refinishing my wood, it is sooo easy even a stupid teenager like me can do it ..... ;)
Here is the link to the instructions I used..... If the actual wood is damaged, I can't help you there, but these instructions will help you get the wood looking brand new! (Hopefully) I mean from the pictures, his turned out awesome! http://207.210.95.34/~boostd/Wood/ BoostnBenz made this, so he gets all the credit!!!!!! |
Thanks, I've actually seen that already.
My problem isn't necessarily that the wood/clear coat has faded, it's that the veneer is physically damaged, and I wanted to know if there are shops (or DIY links) that can repair the veneer, as opposed to replacing it. |
